Uppers started with a Moka pot, some steamed milk, a dash of cinnamon, and a lot of “coffee talk” with friends on my living room couch.
I've always believed good coffee doesn't need to be hidden under a gallon of junk. It should taste like coffee. Real coffee. The kind that wakes you up and somehow convinces you your life plan isn't completely ridiculous.
Somewhere along the way, I decided to stop talking about opening a coffee shop and actually do it.
Uppers is Downtown Burlington's only drive-thru coffee shop, serving handcrafted coffee, house-made syrups, and quick bites at 871 Jefferson Street.
We keep the coffee strong, the food simple, and the line moving.
